Ódor, who heads up Slovakia's interim government reacted to Orbán's reference to Slovakia as "part of the country that was taken from us".

According to the Romanian organisation, there was no UEFA decision: the Hungarians had simply asked for a stance and made a decision based on that.

Both countries have a sizable national minority living within Ukraine's borders. This is not the first time Hungary has brought up the issue.
