An Iranian refugee and his young son managed to keep their sanity during their one and a half year detainment in Hungary by making a movie together within the barbed wire enclosure. In the meantime, they sued the Hungarian state, which ultimately led to the closure of the transit zones, and the release of all the detained refugees. Translation by Dominic Spadacene.

In an unexpected turn of events, however, the two decided not to flee any further. Despite the precarious state of their situation, they chose to stay in Hungary. In this video, Abouzar Soltani and his son, Armin, show us never-before-seen footage of the transit zone, a place once cut off from the world, and of their eventual liberation.
