On Thursday evening, Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó held a public forum in Kalocsa. The event was publicly announced in the local media, but when we got there, they decided not to open it to the press. More specifically, only the "invited press" were allowed in, we were not. We then waited in the car park to ask the Minister about the Russian hacking attack.
However, when he arrived, the police declared the few square metres where Szijjártó walked to his car "an operational area", and they checked our documents, and even considered it important to check that our camera was not stolen. As soon as Szijjártó drove off, all of this ceased to be so important.
