The announcement was made by Hungarian President Katalin Novák, who thanked the Serbian President on Facebook for accepting her invitation to the Budapest Demographic Summit. "Heads of state and government, opinion leaders and experts from all over the world will gather at the Budapest Museum of Fine Arts on September 14-15 for Europe's biggest forum on family policy," the President wrote, summing up the event.

Speakers are expected to include Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. Novák has been generous with the invitations, even Elon Musk got one after he shared Tucker Carlson's recent interview with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán with the comment: "Extremely interesting. Hungary is trying hard to address their birth rate problem".

In her post, Novák responded to Musk by saying that they look forward to welcoming him at "the largest international gathering of pro-family forces”, adding that Musk could learn more about Hungary's family support system at the event. The X (formerly known as Twitter) CEO, who has ten children from several mothers and surrogates has not yet responded to the invitation.

The fifth edition of the Budapest Demographic Summit will be held from 14-15 September and is one of Hungary's largest international conferences, according to Novák. The event is organized every two years, the first was held in 2015.
