Kyiv to Hungarian ambassador: 'Anti-Ukrainian rhetoric' must stop!

Ukraine summoned the Hungarian ambassador on Tuesday to protest against Viktor Orbán's "disparaging" remarks and called on Budapest to stop its anti-Ukrainian rhetoric, Reuters reports.
István Íjgyártó, Hungarian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Kyiv, was delivered a "a strong protest in connection with the recent disparaging statements of the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán," the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said, stressing that "the kind of anti-Ukrainian rhetoric that we have been witnessing from the Hungarian leadership for a long time is absolutely unacceptable and is causing serious damage to Ukrainian-Hungarian relations".
The ministry added that "the Hungarian side has been called upon to put an end to this negative process, thus avoiding irreparable consequences for relations between the two countries."
