Arte: Has the risk of terror attacks in Europe really increased?

After a deadly attack in Paris and the arrest of several terror suspects in Germany, there are renewed fears of terrorist attacks in Europe. But has the threat level really changed? Although the Israel-Hamas conflict has led to increased tension and political polarisation, authorities were warning about a rise in Islamist terrorism even before the attack on 7 October. Arte looked at Europol statistics and spoke with a security expert to find the answers.
