Commenting Policy for the Telex X Account

Our goal is to ensure civilized, respectful, and open dialogue on the X-page of Telex English. We welcome your comments, but certain rules must be followed in order to comply with community standards and legal requirements.

Enforcing these rules is our legal obligation and responsibility, and we kindly ask for the cooperation of the Telex English community on X in this process. Please support our moderators’ work by following the rules and expressing your opinions in a respectful manner.

1. General principles

Those commenting must respect the opinions, human dignity, and rights of others.
In order to protect the quality of public discourse, we may moderate (hide or delete) comments that are unlawful, obscene, offensive, or intentionally disruptive.
Unlawful comments may be removed immediately.
In addition to our automated moderation assistant, Telex’s social media team also monitors comments and takes action when necessary.
Those commenting are responsible for the content they publish.

2. Prohibited content

The following types of comments violate our community principles and applicable laws and will be removed within a reasonable timeframe, but no later than within 24 hours:

Hate speech, discrimination, and harassment: Any racist, homophobic, transphobic, sexist, or hateful content targeting religious or ethnic groups is prohibited.
Incitement to violence or illegal acts: Any encouragement of violent or unlawful behavior is forbidden.
Disclosure of personal data: Sharing the personal information of others, including addresses, phone numbers, or email addresses, is not permitted.
Defamation, insults, smear campaigns: Spreading false information or content that harms the reputation of others is strictly prohibited.
False information, disinformation: The deliberate misleading of the public is not allowed.
Advertising, spam: Promotion of products or services and mass-posting of repetitive, identical content is prohibited.

3. Moderation process

In the event of repeated violations, the following measures may be taken:

Temporary or permanent suspension of commenting privileges.
Severely offensive or unlawful comments (e.g. content aimed at causing widespread panic, extreme hate speech, incitement to aggression, or violations of human dignity) may be removed immediately.
Complaints regarding moderation decisions may be submitted to socialugyelet@telex.hu.
If necessary, commenters who violate the rules may be permanently banned.

Right to appeal: If the deletion of a comment or the restriction of commenting rights is disputable, an appeal may be submitted via the provided contact details. Appeals will be reviewed within five days.

You are also entitled to seek legal remedy before a court against the sanctions applied by Telex.

4. Miscellaneous

Moderation of sensitive topics: In the case of particularly sensitive topics (e.g. deaths, tragedies, suicides, natural disasters), the publisher may restrict or completely disable commenting.
Reporting problematic content: If you find a comment objectionable, please report it to us via email at socialugyelet@telex.hu.
