Nearly ten thousand users were blocked on Hungarian government's Facebook page
“13 minutes. That’s how long it takes to scroll through the list of users who were banned by the previous government from commenting on the Facebook page of the Hungarian Government,” the Tisza government’s communications team announced on the Hungarian Government’s Facebook page, noting that the list includes nearly 10,000 people who were banned or whose comments were subject to restrictions.
In the coming weeks, the government’s communications team will be lifting these bans. “We are building a country where everyone can freely express their opinion, as long as their words are not intended to insult others,” they added.
Among other things, it was on this Facebook page that the Orbán government streamed government briefings. The current government is also actively using it; this is where the heat alert was recently announced, and where numerous heatwave-related developments and measures were also communicated.
