Fidesz MEP condemns Russian aggression with unusually strong language

"Russia's aggression, its illegal war against Ukraine has been going on for a year, which we strongly condemn, and we stand for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine in every possible platform. We must not allow ourselves to become numb in this situation and our solidarity with the people of Ukraine who are suffering a terrible ordeal in this war must not become an empty phrase. We must do everything we can for peace." These words were spoken by Fidesz MEP, Andrea Bocskor, a native of Transcarpathia, in the European Parliament on Wednesday.

A statement issued by the Fidesz EP group on Thursday echoed this. They wrote that their position, which is in line with that of the Hungarian government, has been clear and straightforward since the beginning of the war: "we are on the side of the attacked country and condemn Russia's military aggression against Ukraine."
