Áron Szentpéteri and his crew spent a year filming in the former industrial town, Tiszavasvári in Eastern Hungary. The documentary, premiering on Telex, connects the town's decline that started after the fall of communism and the current state of affairs in Hungary through the stories of several protagonists: Uncle Andor, a former factory worker; Réka, a young Roma mother wishes for a school bus so that her son doesn't have to walk 4 kilometres to school; Zoltán, the long-time Fidesz-member mayor; Bence, the young professional hunter who has stayed in the town while his contemporaries move away one by one. Through their parallel stories the portrait of the small town emerges symbolic of many in a region struggling to survive. The film chronicles a year in the town's life in the run-up to the 2024 municipal elections.

Life as It Comes was made with the support of several European television channels. The Hungarian audience can watch it for the first time on Telex with English subtitles.
